About Lift Tech Forklift Solutions
Lift Tech Forklift Solutions Ltd is an independent forklift company working out of a workshop at Upton, near Pontefract. We hire, sell, service, repair and refurbish forklift trucks, and we supply the parts to keep them going — across Castleford and the wider West Yorkshire area.
Engineer-led, not sales-led
Plenty of businesses will rent you a forklift. Fewer will tell you that the truck you asked for is bigger than you need, or that the fault you have described is a forty-pound part rather than a reason to upgrade.
Lift Tech is a small operation, and the people you speak to are the people who work on the machines. That shapes how we do things: we would rather specify the right truck first time and keep you as a customer than sell you the expensive answer once.
It also means the advice you get is grounded in what actually breaks. When you spend your week repairing masts, chains, hydraulics and electrics across a range of makes, you develop a fairly clear view of which machines earn their keep in which environments.
What we do
Four things, done properly
Hire, sales, service and parts — the same team across all four, which is why a hire customer and an owner get the same engineer.
Sales
New machines and refurbished used trucks — including ones we have rebuilt ourselves, so the history is known rather than guessed at.
Service
Planned servicing, LOLER thorough examinations, breakdown attendance and repairs on customer-owned trucks as well as our own.
Parts
Filters, forks, chains, hoses, seals, tyres and wearing parts for the major makes — fitted by us or supplied over the counter.
Refurbishment
We rebuild trucks, not just hire them out
Refurbishment is a real part of the business rather than a line on a website. Trucks come into the workshop tired — worn chains, leaking rams, corroded panels, an engine that has seen better days — and go back out working.
That matters to a hire customer for a simple reason: a company that strips machines to their components knows exactly what condition its own hire fleet is in. It is also why we are comfortable telling you what has been replaced on a used truck when you are thinking of buying one.

Where we are
Based near Pontefract, working across Castleford
Our workshop is at Unit 4A, New Lane Garage in Upton, between Pontefract and South Elmsall. Castleford is a short run north — a straightforward trip up the A639 or round on the M62, and quicker still to the estates at Glasshoughton and Whitwood that sit right on junctions 31 and 32.
Being local is not a marketing line in this trade. When a truck stops working on a Tuesday morning, the distance between your unit and the engineer's van is the whole difference between a delayed load and a lost day.
